Browns want Myles Garrett Jersey to be mindful of overworking

When Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was on the field during his rookie season, he showed plenty of the reasons why Cleveland took him with the first overall pick in the 2017 draft.

Due to an ankle injury, a concussion and the resulting recovery time from those issues, Garrett wasn’t on the field as much as he or the team would have liked. Garrett missed five games Drew Brees Authentic Jersey and knows that availability is going to be a key to realizing his full potential in his second season.

The Browns know that as well and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams believes there are ways to curtail last year’s problems on that front.

He is one of the few guys that I have had to coach that I know I am going to have to keep my hand on to hold back, Williams said, via Pat McManamon of One of the things with him is his overworking. He works so hard because he does not want to be good; he wants to be great. Sometimes he can be his own worst enemy in that respect because he works so hard physically that he has to do a good job with recovery also. The next thing is this — and he knows — if he stays healthy, watch out.

Tyler Flowers (R), 4 percent, Atlanta Braves at Toronto Blue Jays (LHP J.A. Happ): Keep an eye on whether Flowers or Kurt Suzuki (34.6 percent) starts behind the dish. Happ has struggled at home (4.18 ERA) and against righty bats (.291 wOBA, nine of his 10 homers allowed). Flowers (.469/.595/.781, three homers, 42 plate appearances) and Suzuki (.279/.340/.512) have rekindled their excitement to face lefties.

I know pretty De’Aaron Fox Youth Jersey much exactly what he’s thinking, Wilks said Tuesday, as Holcomb had his first press conference in his new post. He understands the expectations of the defense, what it should look like, and the philosophy. I don’t feel like I need to spend a lot of time in that room.

Holcomb will call the defensive plays – Again, I believe in hiring coaches and allowing those guys to do their job, Wilks added – but beyond that, what the Cards’ defense may look like remains vague.

We’re going to try and create negative plays, we’re going to be aggressive, we’re going to do things based on what we need to do to win the game, Holcomb said. If it is pressuring, we will pressure. If it is by playing front coverage, we’ll play front coverage. It’ll come down to who the opponent is.

Unlike offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, Holcomb knows many of the pieces he will be getting in a unit that has ranked fifth, second and sixth in total defense each of the past three seasons.
